An electronic boost controller (EBC), is usually a pneumatic valve that is controlled by DC power through the engine management to control turbo pressure through the wastegate. Besides providing pressure control, an EBC has the capability to play a huge role in traction control by using it in a boost by gear function.
Other uses for an EBC
- Having the ability to flip a switch and go from 300 WHP to 450 WHP with high/low boost control.
- Adjusting the ramp rate to help with traction control.
